There are many options available for people looking to do their PADI Open Water course – but few are better than Emperor Divers’ Red Sea centres.
We have been training divers in Egypt for over 30 years and have a reputation which is hard to surpass. The experience possessed by our instructors ensures anyone starting their journey into the wonderful world of underwater adventure is in very safe hands.
With three bases – Wadi Sabarah, Port Ghalib and Sharm el Sheikh – all registered as PADI 5-Star venues, we know a thing or two about developing your skills. And we would welcome anyone to come and join us and find out for themselves how good we are.
But what makes the Red Sea – along with Emperor Divers – so special for taking your Open Water?
Its easy access from Europe is one good reason, as are the excellent conditions you will find to dive in.
There is also an almost instant reward with some amazing underwater sights easily accessible on your earliest adventures.
Indeed, Emperor instructor Alex is always keen to extol the virtues of his adopted homeland (especially his base in Sharm) sighting the weather as a key factor in choosing Egypt.
“It’s January and still we’ve got 25 degrees. Blue skies, still warm waters, still the visibility is good and there’s the marine life, the corals, plenty of fish…
“I think ours is probably one of the best diving centres in Sharm because of our facilities. Everything we need is all in the dive centre such as showers, a classroom, kitting area, lockers for our guests – we even have a restaurant directly on the beach at Naama Bay.
“Also, for our guests, the courtesy transfer is organised to and from the hotels, so they get brought direct to the diving centre where they have check in with their own instructor.
“There are two entries we can make from the shore or from the jetty. This is directly into open water and where we can immediately see the fish, the corals, the life. And we’re lucky because the jetty comes out quite a long way, there’s always so much to see even close by.
“At the moment, we’ve been seeing a lot of juvenile barracudas, pufferfish, blue-spotted stingrays, scores of bannerfish… We’ve been very, very lucky to have even whalesharks, while some people have seen hammerheads and manta rays, all in the bay.”
The Open Water course takes three days, plus study, and will qualify you to dive independently to 18 metres. It will change the way you view your future holidays.
You are guaranteed the warmest of welcomes from our fantastic teams and our instructors will make you feel safe and relaxed throughout your time with us.
So now you know how easy it is to access amazing marine life – along with the great weather and facilities on offer – why not come and visit us in Sharm, or at either of our Red Sea centres, and take your first step into a deep water adventure that will keep you enthralled for a lifetime?
