Emperor Divers
Amazing diving holidays in Egypt, Maldives, Indonesia and the Solomon Islands
Divers choose Emperor because…
Since 1992, Emperor Divers has been sharing the magic of the Red Sea, Maldives, Indonesia and Solomon Islands with divers from all over the world. In that time, we’ve welcomed thousands of guests – many of whom return to us year after year – drawn back by unforgettable experiences and friendly faces.
Our focus is simple: to deliver safe, sustainable and seriously memorable diving for everyone. With world-class liveaboards, excellent resort diving and a full range of PADI courses, we’re here to help you explore the ocean your way. We have trips that showcase the very best our regions have to offer, led by teams who live and breathe the destinations they dive.
I had the absolute best diving vacation of my life aboard the Best of Raja Ampat trip on Emperor Harmoni. Everything about this liveaboard was next-level. This trip exceeded every expectation I had. Truly a 5-star experience and the best diving trip I’ve ever been on. Highly, highly recommended! (Thomas Davis, November 2025)
We thank every diver and student who’s joined us over the years. We’re proud so many of you return as true ‘Friends of Emperor’. And if you’ve not yet dived with us, we’d love to welcome you aboard and share the knowledge, passion and warm hospitality that have shaped our story for more than three decades.
We dived at Ras Mohammed National Park, Tiran Island, and the legendary SS Thistlegorm — each location offering something completely different and equally spectacular.
Tracey was my main guide throughout the trip and was excellent — extremely knowledgeable, calm, and professional. Briefings were clear and thorough, and she struck the perfect balance between safety and making the dives genuinely enjoyable. I felt completely looked after the entire time. Duncan was my guide at Thistlegorm – his briefing was excellent, ensuring he explained each dive plan clearly and concisely to ensure that we maximised our bottom time.
All dives were on Nitrox, which I would highly recommend if you’re diving in Egypt, particularly with the repetitive profiles and depth at sites like Thistlegorm. It definitely makes a difference across multiple days of diving.
The dive boat itself was great — spacious, comfortable, and well equipped with all the amenities you need between dives. A big shoutout to the boat crew who handled all equipment and tank changes seamlessly. Not having to wrestle kit on or off the boat made the whole experience incredibly relaxed and enjoyable.
The diving itself was outstanding. Ras Mohammed and Tiran delivered stunning reefs and marine life, but Thistlegorm was something else entirely — hands down the best wreck dive I’ve ever done. Absolutely superb. If you get the chance you should definitely visit. It is a deep dive so make sure that you have done both your AOW and Nitrox speciality to make the most of it.
One thing worth noting — it was surprisingly cold when out of the water, especially between dives and on the way back. I brought my dry robe and was very glad I did. Definitely recommend packing something warm, even in what you expect to be “hot” Egypt!
Overall, a fantastic experience with a very professional operation. I’ll absolutely be back.
Rezession:
The only exciting thing we saw was 1 giant turtle, but all the other fish we saw, we already saw snorkling in the housereef at our hotel.
I was never sold on liveaboards and after a disaterous first attempt was convinced they weren’t for me.
However an opportunity arose to do this trip and I was persuaded by more experienced liveaboarders to give it another go. With some apprehension I did.
I am so glad that I did! The boat was comfortable and felt safe, with a great atmosphere.
The diving was incredible and I appreciate the staff worked hard behind the scenes to secure the dive sites for us.
Dive briefings were clear and thorough.
Our guide Jerod was great. Calm and professional and great at spotting marine life. If only I was as good at photographing Pygmy Seahorses as Jerod was at finding them.
The trip ran very smoothly and I felt that our diving equipment was respected and looked after.
One thing, other than the diving, that really made the trip was the crew, all of them. They worked so hard but always greeted me with a smile and a “hello” when passing. And they were fun to be around.
This trip really opened my eyes to the advantages of liveaboard diving. We reached sites we wouldn’t have if land based, and due to the system in the Misool area had them to ourselves for our allotted time.
Thank you Emperor Divers and the crew on the Harmoni for providing such an enjoyable trip and making me fully re-evaluate my views on liveaboard diving.
Where to next?🤔
Beds, bathrooms, and rooms were clean. Food was fantastic and we were well fed. Safety was of the utmost importance to Eric, Ahmad, and the crew. All our air (nitrox) was fantastic and never once did I feel like there was an issue with it. Other than the zodiac blowing a tube, which they had replaced and on our boat by the next day. Wonderful job everyone! (Eric didn’t like getting his photo taken so I didn’t include his 😜)
Thank you for an amazing experience!
From the very beginning — hotel collection, luggage handling, transfers and welcome onboard — everything ran seamlessly. It immediately set the tone for the week.
The dive managers, Nehed and Phil were consummate professionals, always energetic, approachable and fully engaged with guests. Every single member of staff played their part brilliantly — from the RIB skipper to the bar and dining team. The “backroom” crew certainly did not go unnoticed: cabin servicing was excellent, meals were exceptional, and the engine room was so immaculate it looked like the machinery had just been installed. While I didn’t visit the wheelhouse, the talented skippers got us everywhere safely and smoothly.
All of the dive guides appeared exceptional, and our special thanks go to Jerod for taking such great care of us. We arrived with no particular expectations and were blown away by the diversity of walls, reefs and marine life. Jerod expertly balanced our individual interests — ensuring I saw the large pelagics, while my wife was equally thrilled with nudibranchs and pygmy seahorses.
What really stood out was the atmosphere onboard. It was obvious the Harmoni crew genuinely enjoy what they do. The smiles, positive energy and teamwork made guests feel welcome, relaxed and fully able to enjoy the experience.
Having enjoyed it so much, we sincerely hope to return to Harmoni again before too long.
The fact that Harmoni was purpose-built as a dedicated dive vessel is evident — she is close to perfect. It is genuinely difficult to criticise anything.
If you’re thinking about diving in Raja Ampat, you’ll not go wrong with Emperor Harmoni.
