The team at Emperor Divers have been providing PADI Dive Courses, day diving and liveaboard safari trips since 1992. Many of our guests have returned multiple times and joined the growing number of “Friends of Emperor”.

Luke has been with Emperor since 2005. A passionate underwater photographer, Luke loves working with the Red Sea team to ensure guests, new and old, get the best from their time spent diving with Emperor.
Bernie McAteer
Bernie joined the Emperor team in 2012 having worked in the dive industry in many locations around South East Asia. His multi-lingual teams in the Maldives and Indonesia share his passion for diving and ensuring Emperor guests enjoy the fantastic diving, culture and service these magical destinations offer.
Clare Armstrong
Clare moved to Sharm in 2004 and has worked in different areas of the diving industry ever since, getting to know many of the operators and dive centres in the areas where Emperor operate. Clare works closely with the operational teams to ensure you get the best advice possible before booking and that we are then able to deliver.
Ahmed Maher
Ahmed joined Emperor in 2004 and is the man responsible for ensuring smooth running of our finance department. Now based in our Bali head office, Ahmed has two children and enjoys a spot of diving now and again.
Sonia Goggel
Sonia and Emperor go back a long way. Her first full time liveaboard job was with Emperor Divers on Pegasus in 1998. Since then she’s dived and worked all over the world most notably in the Solomon Islands, Fiji, Indonesia, Sudan and Djibouti but the Red Sea and her love of Egypt and its people has brought her back to “ her Emperor Family “ where she loves to share her passion with our guests.
Nicole Veltman
Nicole has extensive experience in the diving industry. Having worked as an instructor and cruise director for over a decade, she then moved into management roles, where she applies her broad knowledge to support our highly regarded reservations team.
Ksenia Zamurueva
Ksenia has led credit control at Emperor Divers since 2021 having previously held a similar role for Constellation Fleet and before that worked for tour operators in the Maldives and Turkey. Now based in Bali, she is passionate about marine life conservation and is a keen diver.
Yasmine Gamal
Yasmine is our Senior Liveaboard Consultant and has been with Emperor Divers since 2017. Her love of diving brought her to us in the first place and she has shared that passion for the water during her time in our reservations department by ensuring our guests have the best experience possible.
Anna Zamurueva
Anna is a mother of three and a graduate of Saratov State University, where she specialised in tourism and English translation. With 15 years of experience in the travel industry and great expertise in reservations, she is passionate about diving and dreams of spending more time underwater.
Alan Steenstrup
Alan has decades of experience in the dive industry during which time he has tailored trips and private charters for a wide variety of guests and groups. A multilingual globetrotter – he was born in Denmark, raised in Africa, and now lives in Mexico – Alan is a familiar, friendly face within the diving community, passionate about people, the ocean, and football!
Pavel Jordan
Pavel began as a logistics manager before following his heart and moving into the diving industry. Over the years he has been an instructor, cruise director, and operations manager across Europe, Asia, and Africa. He says: “I left Europe in 2016 to fulfil my diving dream. I’ve worked in many countries and I love sharing my passion for diving and travel with others.”
Dave Pearce
Dave has been diving since his early teens and worked in and around the industry since the late 1990s. After a lengthy and successful career in aviation, that latterly saw him as operations manager for Solomon Airlines, he took the opportunity to go full-time in diving when he became manager of Bilikiki Cruises.
